Saving Money

In these times we need to save all the money we can, so a few months ago I started using coupons. I mean REALLY using coupons! I am now saving anywhere from $40-$65 a month just using coupons (and I know I could even be saving more)! I make sure to buy a Sunday newspaper and print out all the on-line coupons I can find. One of my favorite blogs is Money Saving Mom. She is really helpful on finding coupons, sales, and really good deals! I make sure to visit at least a few times a week! I know some people even cut their grocery bill in half....someday I'll be that good! So what are you waiting for...go get your scissors!!!

Late thought...

Today's happy thought is coming in a bit late. We had a very busy day and are all starting to wind down. As I'm sitting at my desk and what do I hear? What?? My kids are playing nicely!! I love it! As they get older it seems they are fighting more and more often, so when I hear them getting along it's like music to my ears! I'm sure a lot of you can relate and don't you agree that it's so comforting? We are a happy family after all! :)

Kleenex :)

When I think of the little things that make me happy, these are one of the things that pop in my head. If you are feeling a little under the weather (like I am right now) these Kleenex are like heaven in a box. The best tissue EVER invented!!! They smell like menthol and I just want to carry them around with me all day. Alright so I'm a dork, going on and on about tissues....but THESE TISSUES RAWK! I'm sure they will make you happy the next time you're stuffy.

Minuscule

We can't get enough of these little 5 minute clips at our house, I could watch them all day! They are called "Minuscule" and are based out of France. Every once in awhile you can catch them on the Disney Channel late in the evening. It's such simple humor...I love it! Okay, I'll shut up now....just watch!

Flowers make me happy!

I asked my daughter the simple question "What makes you happy?" She replied without hesitating "Flowers!" I smiled instantly. I asked her "What is your favorite kind of flower?" "A Rose." she said. I want to know how it is that children learn to have expensive taste at such a young age? :-P

On the first day of our marriage retreat, the instructor talked about the importance of knowing what matters to each other.

"For example," he began, pointing to my husband, David, "do you know your wife's favorite flower?"

David answered, "Pillsbury All Purpose."

I don't know about you, but I like to smile. I like to be happy. My plan for this blog is simple, I want it to be a positive place for a quick happy thought. You'll have to visit daily to see what I come up with. My goal is to make people smile....everyday.
